In our Independent Research Classes, students in grades 9 and 10 embark on a journey of self-discovery and skill development, guided by a target-focused teaching approach. These classes cover a diverse range of subjects, including American authors, teenage rights and responsibilities, as well as college and career exploration through research. Alongside these explorations, students acquire essential skills such as MLA citation, Cornell Notes, and NoodleTools, setting a solid foundation for their academic journey.
A unique feature of these classes is collaboration with our history department, where students engage in research projects throughout the year. These projects not only deepen their understanding of the subjects but also promote independent thinking and creativity.
