THE BROWNING LIBRARY MISSION

The mission of The Browning Library is to provide a vibrant and inclusive learning environment that fosters a love for reading, supports academic achievement, and promotes lifelong learning. We are dedicated to supporting the school curriculum and providing equitable access to information, technology, and literature for all students. Through collaboration between teachers and librarians, we introduce boys to a diverse collection of print and electronic resources that enhance their research skills and support their academic journey. Our collection development policy is aligned with Browning’s mission to cultivate courageous and compassionate men of intellect and integrity who actively contribute to our world while respecting the dignity of every individual. By offering carefully selected materials, incorporating innovative technologies, and fostering collaborative partnerships, we aim to inspire intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and a sense of community among our users. Our dedicated staff is committed to promoting information literacy, digital citizenship, and the joy of reading, ultimately preparing students to become lifelong learners and informed global citizens, who value and uphold the principles of respect and dignity.
