WHAT IS RESEARCH? 

Research is the process of finding information to answer questions, solve problems, or learn new things.

  • Not creating something new

  • Searching for information or answers about something that already exists

RESEARCH STEPS

1. Ask questions about your assigned topic: who, what, where, when and why? 

2. Find information from various reliable sources such as books, databases, and vetted websites (Use this LibGuide as your guide).

3. Take notes: Use the Cornell Template and cite your sources. (Thanking the source for the information.)

4. Organize and analyze: Organize your findings, analyze if you answered all your questions.

5. Share your findings.
